Hey Friend,
Here we are, week one of joy life unlimited.
I want to begin by having you take stock of what you think of yourself. What are the things you say to yourself? What identifies you? What is your identity? As someone describes you, what do you want them to say? Does what you want them to say differ from what you think they would say?
What are your values, the priorities in your life? What we value and what we place importance on is part of our identity. What we spend our time and money on, these things are important to us.
Do you think highly of yourself? Being honest with you, the one doing this work right now, what do you think of you? Do you come up with physical and emotional, internal characteristics? Do you think of estimations others have had about you and shaped what you think of you? What are you good at? What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses?
Spend some time thinking and writing about what you think about yourself. Be honest. You won’t grow and change if you overlook things you don’t like. It’s looking fear in the face and pushing through that brings growth.
Truth Section (This is where I’ll include some scriptures and sayings that relate.)
Psalm 139:14 “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.”
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and hope.”
You have time for what you make time for.
Where you spend your time and your money, that is your priority, acted out in your behavior.
Don’t say, “I don’t have time for _____,” rather, say, “______ is just not a priority, so I’m not making the time for it.” This places us in decision and not as a victim.
