Module 1: Let me introduce myself

Hi there! I’m Joy…

I want to start by sharing a little about myself and why you might want to trust and listen to me in this course of unlimiting your life. 

I am a wife of 19 years, mom of three super busy and fun kiddos ages 13,10, and 8, and a small business owner. I have had a private practice for mental health counseling for 16 years now and I love working with people to gain better health. A few years ago I attended a live event January 2018 for personal development and I was hooked! Personal development is incredible, life-altering stuff. 

So, as I have been reading and listening to personal development content (Every. Single. Day :D), I got this vision for an online course that blended personal development break-through work while also incorporating some of my psychological background, because that’s part of who I am, how I think and operate. I set to work writing up the course content, which is what you’re reading now. 

I love being outside, running, yoga, hiking, camping, swimming, being in the mountains and at the beach. I love anything with my family and friends. I enjoy serving with my kids in the children’s Sunday school at our church. I enjoy reading and listening to podcasts and audio books. I like cooking, baking, and sewing. My favorite food (since at least as far back as elementary school) is peanut butter and chocolate :D 

I desire to make a difference in this world, starting with my family and community we live in, and reaching out as far as the internet goes…

I’ve written a couple books and it has been humbling to know that hundreds of people are receiving the help that I have offered…and I am honored to be in the place of walking alongside people as they heal and grow. 

All of these areas of pain I will be discussing have been part of my personal journey, and from what I know and understand, are a part of many others’. I have done great work over the years to process and heal, and the personal development work in this last year has been truly liberating! This is why I wanted to create this course, to pass on and share the keys to freedom!
